Camps

Fancy a week away from parents or school worries, spending time with friends whilst braving an icy river, getting right up-close to the RAF's latest hardware or seeing how an Air Cadet lives at the other side of the Atlantic ocean?

Air Cadets get the chance to do these things and more at the many Air Cadet camps round the world each year.

Squadrons usually parade two evenings per week for about 2.5 hours each evening with additional days at the weekend. There is a lot that can be accomplished at these times but sometimes it is necessary or advantageous to spend a number of days away to make an event worthwhile. These long events are known as Camps and there are several types that are run for Air Cadets:

  • Summer and Easter Camps (Including overseas camps)
  • Adventure Training Camps
  • Weekend Camps
  • The International Air Cadet Exchange programme (IACE)
